Lauren LaRocca grew up in Pittsburgh and Hagerstown and studied writing at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. She came to Baltimore magazine as its arts and culture editor after 12 years covering the arts at The Frederick News-Post. She’s also an astrologer, herbalist, and musician and loves making zines and abstract collages and cards.
