Jemicy School, founded in 1973 and accredited by AIMS and the International Dyslexia Association, is a co-educational, independent school that provides a highly individualized, flexible, and challenging program for talented and bright, college-bound students (grades 1-12) with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences. The school addresses students’ intellectual strengths and their learning needs by utilizing creative, multisensory, research-based programs and techniques to develop reading, writing, spelling, math, and organization skills; promote a love of learning; and prepare students for the intellectual and social challenges of college and life. In addition to its robust academic program, Jemicy offers superb visual and performing arts, athletic, and extracurricular programs and activities as well as comprehensive college counseling guidance.
