Best of Baltimore Party 2018
Thursday, August 9, 2018 at The Assembly Room
On Thursday, August 9, at The Assembly Room in downtown Baltimore, more than 1,500 attendees gathered together to celebrate the best that our charming city has to offer. The entire venue was transformed in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” theme complete with an enchanted forest filled with magical greens, fresh “secret garden” roses, and twinkling fairy lights. Guests enjoyed specialty bites from more than 25 of the area’s most noteworthy restaurants, sampled dreamy cocktails, crisp beers, and fine wines at various specialty bars. They also danced all night long on the lively moonlit dance floor thanks to the energetic jams of The Ron Holloway Band and party tunes from DJ Kopec. Back as the presenting sponsor for the fourth year in a row, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore encouraged attendees to get into the festive spirit by picking up their very own handmade flower crown and sitting in the magical Horseshoe lounge tucked underneath a billowing enchanted tree. Additional party perks included two photo booths, a fairy dust cart with fresh cotton candy spun on-site, and a lipsologist with a specialty in reading lip prints. As guests exited the venue, they were encouraged to take home freshly baked sweet treats for the ride home, and of course, a beloved Best of Baltimore signature mason jar.
Baltimore was honored to once again partner with The Family Tree this year as the event’s charity beneficiary and donate a portion of event proceeds to supporting the nonprofit’s mission to prevent child abuse and neglect.
