Women Who Move Maryland Cocktail Reception
February 8, 2017 at Alma Cocina Latina
On February 8, Baltimore magazine hosted its annual Women Who Move Maryland event at Alma Cocina Latina, commemorating leaders in their fields of business, from an annual special section in Baltimore’s February issue. This year, Baltimore was honored to continue its partnership with the American Heart Association’s Maryland chapter and to celebrate Heart Month with their Go Red for Women campaign, which continues to dedicate education and resources to improving health and quality of life in local communities. A co-champion in the heart health, Cigna, gave its title sponsorship support to the event and to the special cause for the second year. Additional support came from the Harbor East Whole Foods, which provided floral decor at the reception. Special thanks to keynote speakers Laura Freitag, the 2017 chairwoman of the Go Red for Women Campaign and partner at Ernst & Young; and Julia Huggins, Cigna’s Mid-Atlantic president. Both longtime heart health activists and AHA volunteers, the women are slated to co-chair the 2018 Go Red for Women local campaign.
