Markeys Services was founded by Maria Snyder, who had the vision of being a general contractor. What began with flipping houses transformed into commercial construction.

She created Construction Cleaning Services (as a division) and quickly gained knowledge and experience. She added additional services within a year, including interior demolition and skilled and semi-skilled temporary labor. But general contracting was always her goal.

Snyder previously served as the founding chair of the Metro Baltimore Hispanic Contractors Association and currently serves as a board member of the Washington Building Congress, where she is the first Hispanic to hold this position in the organization’s history.
