Anna Vekker is a certified welder and estimator, skills she puts to use at McCormick Auto Body, a family-run business focused on quality mechanical and collision repairs.

Since joining the company begun by her husband, the shop has grown. Opened in 2014 in a space of 2,000 square feet with three staff members, it is now in a 10,000-square-foot location and has 15 staff members. McCormick is a I-CAR Gold Class-certified shop and holds many OEM certifications. (The latter is recognition given to body shops by manufacturers for adhering to their repair standards.)

Vekker explains what sets their shop apart: “We are a family-owned business, and we try to provide great service to every customer no matter how big or small the job is. We educate the customer about the importance of quality repairs.”

Among their community work, the shop supports VOTECH schools in Maryland to encourage future generations to go to trades schools.
