Prince George’s County Civil Rights Trail

Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, a nonprofit located in Prince George’s County, manages the unspoiled resources that tell stories of American history within its 100 square miles. Its work also supports businesses, residents, and visitors alike by promoting the arts, culture, nature, and history across the region. As the country’s most affluent Black community with a rich history of trailblazing African Americans, the area is an ideal place to learn about the Civil Rights Movement.
