Pro Bono Counseling
Baltimore, MD 21215
Our communities are facing a mental health crisis. Pro Bono Counseling (PBC) is here to help.
We lift up families, couples, and individuals living in Maryland who are experiencing stress, grief, sadness, life transitions, relationship issues, or any other challenge that can be addressed through therapy. It is our mission to remove barriers and provide relief by connecting those in need to mental health support.
At PBC we believe access to quality mental health care is a human right and can change a person’s life. Our goal is to help people of all backgrounds to find the right mental health professional to meet their needs, no matter their income. Our network of over 850 volunteer therapists covers many specialties, making it possible for us to support a wide range of needs and challenges. PBC has volunteer clinicians all over Maryland who donate their counseling services at no cost to the client.
Need immediate support? At PBC’s mental health WARMLine (410-598-0234) you’ll talk with a trained mental health professional. The WARMLine is free, anonymous, and confidential. There is no commitment required when you call the WARMLine and you may call as often as you need. You will not be asked about your income, insurance status, or immigration status.
You can help, too. We rely on volunteers to help us fulfill our mission. When you enroll as a volunteer with PBC, you are part of a movement to improve access to mental health care in Maryland. If you are a licensed mental health professional and would like to help, visit ProBonoCounseling.org/get-involved/volunteer-asa-clinician. Other opportunities include presenting a workshop to providers, joining the board of directors, or sponsoring an event.
Pro Bono Counseling envisions a future where everyone has access to quality mental health care. You can help make that vision a reality. Pro Bono Counseling relies on your generous contributions to allow us to continue our services to Marylanders of all ages in need.
