Su Kim, DDS, MS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and founder of Tiny Tooth Pediatric Dentistry, but her patients consider her a magician. Why? Because she has the ability to provide excellent oral care in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that takes the fear and unease out of a visit to the dentist.

“I approach each child with patience and empathy,” Kim explains. “I understand that going to the dentist can be intimidating, especially for young ones. I take the time to build trust, addressing their fears and anxieties with compassion. I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of my young patients, not only by providing quality dental care but also by nurturing their overall well-being.”

Kim opened her pediatric practice in 2021 and now has 15 staff members. This includes dentists and staff who understand the unique dental needs of young people. Tiny Tooth believes that a successful pediatric dental practice focuses on preventive care—educating both children and parents about oral health—and establishes long-term relationships with families to ensure their continued oral well-being. Kim and her team advocate for good oral hygiene habits, regular checkups, cleanings, and fluoride treatments.

In addition to making sure that their young patients grow up not fearing the dentist, Tiny Tooth’s team wants parents to have a positive experience as well.

“I strongly believe in open and transparent communication with parents. I am committed to answering their questions, addressing their concerns, and involving them in the decision-making process to achieve the best outcomes for their child’s dental health,” says Kim.

Patients and parents at Tiny Tooth will always be greeted with a smile, but it’s the smile on her patients’ faces that makes all the difference. “Seeing their smiles and knowing that I have played a part in their positive dental experience brings me immense joy and fulfillment.”
