Women Who Move Maryland 2021
Each February we put the spotlight on female professionals like these who are playing a leading role in the region, from a banker and an environmental engineer to an HR expert and a plastic surgeon.
For business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit executives, it’s a fresh venue to introduce themselves to both our readers and to one another—and it’s for a great cause. That’s because some of the section’s proceeds will go to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, which educates women about the signs and symptoms of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Each year, National Wear Red Day marks the beginning of American Heart Month and for women to wear red. This year, it’s February 5.
The goal is to make the city Go Red to raise awareness about the Go Red for Women Movement and women’s heart disease and stroke. Woman are encouraged to wear red, snap a picture, post on social media and use, the hashtag #WearRedMD.
