If you don’t want to go ham in the kitchen this Easter, pack the family in the car and let local restaurants doing the cooking for you instead. Whether you’re looking for brunch, lunch, or family supper, there are a slew of area eateries that have your every spring pea covered. And with offerings like decadent brunch at Parts & Labor (plus take-away eats at the meat mecca’s butcher shop), seasonal dishes at Cunningham’s (one watermelon radish salad and cornmeal-fried oysters, please), and decorate-your-own cookies at Wit & Wisdom (to name a few), our growing foodie scene is well worth taking advantage of, even if you don’t celebrate the holiday.

Grab your friends and spend your Saturday afternoon in support of
man’s very best—puppies and dogs. In Federal Hill, you can choose between three
bar crawls: two group outings starting at 1:30 p.m. or one general open crawl for
all, starting at 2 p.m. Each swings through some of the neighborhood’s best bars, from
Mother’s, MaGerk’s, C&R, and Ropewalk to Pub Dog, No Way Jose, Stalking Horse,
and Nobles. Along the way, be sure to grab a crush and a half-dozen oysters at Ryleigh’s,
as well as some margaritas and stellar Mexican food at Banditos. Whichever
route you choose, rest assured that each watering hole will feature food and drink
specials, and all of it goes to support
BARCS
and its animal rescue efforts.

Mar. 25: Bromo After 5

For four years, the Bromo Arts District has been a growing arts arena in downtown Baltimore. From the northern stretches of MLK Boulevard to the southern edges of Pratt Street, Bromo is made up of dozens of art galleries, iconic theaters, historic landmarks, and creative spaces. This weekend, make the most of this cultural mecca with its new happy hour event series. On the last Friday of every month, the district will feature art installations, performances, live music, drinks, and more throughout the neighborhood. Head up the Bromo Tower for sweeping views of the city and get to know resident artists through various exhibits and open studios. Best of all, get an early look at the all-new Bromo Boxes, where local artists have converted electrical units into unique works of art.

Mar. 26: Kahlon

For nearly three years, Kahlon has been a boundary-breaking, genre-crossing, mind-bending bastion of Baltimore, led by Bmore Club artist Abdu Ali at The Crown. With its DIY mentality and cornucopia of talent, the underground dance party has become its own local icon, filling an artistic void by bringing together the best of the city, be it music, art, dance, culture, black, white, gay, straight, young, old, and everything in-between. Spreading his positive love gospel, Ali has since gained quite a name for himself, with countrywide tours, local and national press, and now a stint at SXSW. Sadly, though, this weekend will mark the final Kahlon. If you have yet to make it past the long lines, be sure to swing by 1910 N. Charles on Saturday and experience this one-of-a-kind night, featuring the founder himself, local DJs Trillnatured and Genie, the TSU Dance Crew, and many more.

Mar. 25: Baltimore Bike Party
St. Mary’s Park, 600 N. Paca St. 6:30 p.m. Free.
This Friday, the Baltimore Bike Party illuminates its rides, dons its neon, and puts rubber to the road to kick off the launch of Light City. The two organizations are not official partners, but with a “Moonlit Madness” theme, the BBP will ride from Seton Hill to the Mount Vernon Marketplace in all its bright-light glory. Bikers of all skill level are welcome, and once at the marketplace, riders can indulge in Local Oyster shucks, Pinch dumplings, Taps Fill Station brews, and Cultured craft cocktails till close.
