As everyone’s excitement over pumpkin-spice lattés, farm-fresh produce, and Halloween festivities begins to mount, the Brewer’s Association of Maryland (BAM) is giving us yet another reason to look forward to fall.
The Maryland Brewer’s Harvest, one of BAM’s two annual events, will be held at Bond Street Wharf in Fells Point on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 2-6 p.m.
“The harvest has a high focus on the Baltimore market,” says Ben Savage, president of BAM and CMO of Flying Dog Brewery. “A lot of breweries are doing cool things with beer that implement a more agricultural element and there is also a focus on chefs who bring a unique approach to Maryland cuisine.”
The waterfront festival will feature more than 150 unique craft beer samples from more than 25 local breweries, harvest-inspired small plates from local chefs like Slainte’s Chris Marquis and former Food Network Star contestant Rodney Henry, live music, and even a Maryland beer colloquium.
“There are no other events in the state that better reflect the explosive Maryland craft beer scene and local culinary talent,” Savage says. “Some of the rarest and most innovative beer will be on hand.”
Additionally, a Choptank Sweets oyster bar and local food trucks will be available for guests to enjoy a la carte.
Thanks to the “BAMbus,” your group of friends won’t have to draw straws over who will be the day’s designated driver. Brewing companies from across the state are offering round-trip transportation to and from the event via motor coach.
“We want to make sure that breweries from the Eastern Shore and all over Maryland can get their fan base into Baltimore,” Savage says.
Both VIP and general admission tickets for the Maryland Brewers Harvest are available for purchase.
