Fans of SoBo Cafe in Federal Hill will be excited to hear about the restaurant’s second location, which will open up this fall.
Owner Anna Leventis will open up SoBo Market in South Baltimore and she is shooting for a September opening.
The new location will open at the former Rayzers Bar at 13 E. Randall Street, less than a mile from SoBo Cafe.
“It’s a good opportunity,” Leventis said. “There’s a lot of growth and new construction. I think that it’s an underserved part of the neighborhood, so I’m really excited to do something to expand the business.”
The market aspect of the new location will allow customers to come in and buy prepared foods for take-out. Some of the prepared foods include baked goods such as fresh-baked loaves of bread and desserts. The market will also offer items such as roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, salads, spreads, meatballs, and crackers.
“Our customers are very excited,” Leventis said. “A lot of folks love our house-baked bread that we serve at dinner time and they’re really excited to be able to get our bread by the loaf to go.”
The new location will use the same culinary team, but the dine-in menu will be more casual with mostly small plates and sandwiches. A full-service bar will also be offered at the location and customers can purchase beer, wine, and growlers to take home.
SoBo Market will open on weekdays from 4-10 p.m., except for Tuesdays and from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on weekends. Brunch items will be offered on the weekends.
Stay tuned for the exact opening date of SoBo Market.
