As mother always told us, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Eating the first meal of the day just got a little easier in Baltimore and beyond as
Towson Hot Bagels co-owner Tony Scotto continues to spread the bagel love (and cream cheese) with plans to open in White Marsh, Federal Hill, and Charles Village.
“We wanted to share this with more communities,” says Scotto.
As the name suggests, THB started in Towson, and was a huge hit with the student population at
Towson University and Goucher College.
Since first opening their doors in 1999, they’ve branched out to Canton and Timonium, as well.
Customer feedback was key to opening the other outposts. Many of THB’s customers commute from the perspective locations and have asked Scotto to open more restaurants. “The concept works well in these areas,” he says.
A focus on fresh ingredients is the draw here, and every location bakes their award-winning bagels daily.
Scotto is always trying to improve the restaurants, such as expanding to make room for more seating, or using different ingredients to create healthier options. But he assures us that a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, as well as “The Show-Off” with grilled chicken salad will always be menu staples. “We don’t want to change something that works,” he says.
