The sister of the Duchess of Cambridge will soon be pedaling through Maryland on her way to City Dock in Annapolis.
Best known for turning heads and stealing the spotlight at sister Kate’s royal wedding at Westminster Abbey, Middleton, 30, and her brother James, 27, are riding across country as part of an eight-person team for the 33rd annual, 3,000-mile Race Across America (RAAM).
Her team, the Michael Matthews Foundation, started in California this past weekend and will take turns cycling 24 hours a day across 12 states, expecting to reach Annapolis sometime between June 20 and 24. Before reaching Annapolis, all RAAM riders will stop at Mt. Airy Bicycles in Carroll County, one of the official timing stations of the event.
According to the latest status update on the Race Across America website, Middleton team’s last stopped in Greensburg, IN, and is scheduled for a break tonight in Oxford, OH.
According to Middleton’s fundraising page at JustGiving.com, the Michael Matthew Foundation provides education to children around the world and is named after a climber who died descending the summit of Mount Everest.
