All across the country, in all 50 states, demonstrators came together to demand stricter gun control laws in the United States. Organized by the survivors of the Parkland shooting, the March For Our Lives protest brought hundreds of thousands of students, teachers, and concerned citizens together, imploring people to register to vote and put an end to gun violence.
Many of the speakers were students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, as well as several other young people including 11-year-old Naomi Walder of Alexandria, Virginia, and 9-year-old Yolanda Renee King, granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr., who told the D.C. crowd that she had a dream of “a gun free world, period.”
