The old-world mystique and rich cultural heritage of Berks County is the perfect setting for this distinct and diverse wine trail. Wine lovers can discover the art of winemaking at eight wineries nestled in the rolling countryside.
Located in the beautiful countryside between Philadelphia and Lancaster, this wine trail has become a favorite destination not just for Philadelphians, but for wine lovers from throughout the region. The trail is home to seven charming wineries and some of the best scenery in the commonwealth.
Discover the proud heritage behind the wines expertly handcrafted by the family wineries of Bucks County. Its scenic rolling hills and moderate climate combine to make the area one of the premier grape-growing regions on the East Coast. The result is one of the best wine-tasting experiences in Pennsylvania.
The Endless Mountains Wine Trail is one of Pennsylvania’s newest and busiest wine trails. Tucked away in the northeastern corner of the state, it attracts travelers from throughout the region and beyond, all hoping to sample the trail’s award-winning wines.
The Groundhog Wine Trail is the state’s longest, stretching from Altoona in central Pennsylvania through the Allegheny National Forest toward Erie. This wide geographic base guarantees an equally wide variety of experiences provided by the trail’s nine wineries.
HERSHEY-HARRISBURG WINE COUNTRY
Explore the Hershey Harrisburg Wine Country to enjoy breathtaking views from our 12 award-winning, family-owned wineries situated in the heart of Central Pennsylvania’s beautiful rolling hills. These wineries offer a variety of handcrafted wines for the enjoyment of any palate and are conveniently surrounded by first-rate attractions of Harrisburg, Hershey and Lancaster.
The Lake Erie region is home to the nation’s largest grape-growing territory outside of California. A drive through this area will transport you to a bygone era, with friendly people, quaint Victorian towns, and some of the best wine Pennsylvania has to offer.
The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail is located in an ideal grape-growing environment, and wines produced in the area have won countless national and international awards as a result. The region’s family-owned wineries have also brought home the Governor’s Cup for Pennsylvania’s best wine in nine of the last 10 years.
The state’s largest wine trail includes more than a dozen wineries in the York, Lancaster, Gettysburg and Harrisburg areas. Although visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process throughout the year, the trail’s annual “Tour de Tanks” (in April) gives wine lovers a rare opportunity to sample wines straight from the barrel.
With just three wineries, it may be the state’s smallest wine trail, but those three locations offer plenty of wine-tasting experiences between them. The trail intersects with the Bucks County Wine Trail, giving wine lovers even more tasting opportunities to choose from.
Each of this trail’s eight wineries, all located southeast of Pittsburgh, provides a unique experience of its own. Along the way, explore the mountains and valleys of southwestern Pennsylvania and take a scenic side trip through the vacationer’s paradise known as the Laurel Highlands.
The Susquehanna Heartland Wine Trail is home to 10 wineries scattered throughout central Pennsylvania, just north of the state’s capital. The location a real find for wine lovers, as the region’s climate yields hardy native grapes, premium hybrids, and delicate Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir varieties.
