When it comes to a great birthday party, it’s hard to beat Baltimore’s Birthday Bash. This year, the annual Live Baltimore event took place at Harborplace’s Light Street Pavilion, pulling in some 1,100 attendees. Many guests took advantage of the opportunity to wander through the space, recalling old memories of the pavilion in its prime. They also enjoyed desserts and drinks from more than 15 different vendors, a dance party with beats spun by DJ Tanz, and non-stop mixing and mingling—all contributing a high-energy atmosphere that lasted late into the evening.

If Annie Milli’s fearless style is any reflection of her leadership skills, then the folks at Live Baltimore know they are in good hands. The civic organization’s executive director loves to up her fashion for some occasions, including the annual bash.
But, for Milli, it’s all about the look, not the label. Case in point: the one-shoulder sheath she wore to this year’s event.
“I have no idea [who the designer is]. It’s from a department store,” she said, not even remembering which one.
What was more important was following the party’s yellow theme.
“I Googled yellow dresses and then searched [online] for hours,” she said.
She added rhinestone waterfall earrings, a crystal-covered clutch, and Betsey Johnson pumps. But the accessory that meant the most to her was the rhinestone bracelet that had belonged to the late Joyce Leviton, one of Live Baltimore’s founders, which was given to her after Leviton’s death in 2023.
